The Archdiocese of Hartford has made two important changes to the present pandemic related protocols. First, as of Saturday, May 22, 2021, the General Dispensation from obligation to attend Mass on Sundays / Holy Days has been revoked. Secondly, as of May 19, 2021, procedures for public worship have changed. This email contains information on both changes, including documents with additional explanation.

Obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days becomes effective on the weekend of May 22nd 2021 with the following exceptions:

- Individuals with medical conditions that make them susceptible to COVID-19
- Those ill, homebound, or are care givers of one who is
- Those tested positive for COVID-19
- Those in quarantine, or in close contact to someone in quarantine
- Those showing symptoms of COVID-19

The letter from the Connecticut Catholic Conference discussing the importance of the Sunday Mass Obligation can be found on the Archdiocese Website  as well as our Parish website  and the Parish Facebook page. Copies are also available at the church entrances and Parish Office.

Changes effective immediately:
- Pew seating is changed to every other pew

Changes effective May 22nd
- Seating becomes self-serve; please be mindful to leave some space between households
- All entrances will be unlocked at weekend Masses
- The congregation is invited to sing hymns, responses, and the Mass setting
- Offertory collection will be taken during Mass by the ushers

Missals will be available at the entrances of the church, as we ask that you please take one for your household and bring it to and from when attending weekly Mass.
