Update on Confirmation:

Students from Our Lady of Fatima will also be joined in this Mass. Reverend John Melnick will administer the Sacrament of Confirmation.

ickets will be handed out at Rehearsal only those with tickets will be able to attend.

Confirmation Practice:
Mandatory Practice for Candidates and sponsors will be held on Sunday, April 26 at 12pm at St. Mary Magdalen Church. Practice will take about an 1 hour.

Confirmation Mass:
The Mass of the Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated at St. Mary Magdalen Church on Tuesday, April 28th at 7pm (church address is 16 Buckingham Street, Oakville).

The church is NOT Handicap Assessable at this time. Sponsors and Candidates should be in the church hall by 6:30pm on Tuesday, April 28th. A reception will follow in the church hall; all are welcome.

Number of guests are limited per family to attend the Mass Tickets will be given out at rehearsal on the 26th no ticket no admission to the Mass. NO EXCEPTIONS

Parking: Church lot is small, (suggest carpooling), over flow parking to the Pin Shop Lot, NO PARKING ON THE STREET, CARS WILL BE TICKETED AND TOWED!

Confirmation Ceremony Dress Code:

There are dress code requirements for the evening that you are confirmed. Failure to follow them will result in the delay of your Confirmation.

- Girls: dress slacks, blouses, dresses, skirts and tops, pant suits and nice shoes. Any colors are fine.  Please make sure that the dresses, skirts and tops are not too short or low cut.  Also you will need to stand and walk in your shoes, please make sure you can do so.

- Boys: slacks with a belt, long sleeve button down shirt, nicely tucked in, and a tie. Any colors are fine.  NO jackets, also proper dress shoes. Black loafers or tie shoes are preferred.

THIS IS A SACRAMENT AND IT IS TO BE RESPECTEDYOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR:  sneakers, work boots, flip-flops, clogs, crocks, jeans, hoodies, low cut tops or short bottoms.

Dear Families of 3rd Graders First Communion Students,

We are gearing up, preparing for your child to receive their First Communion. This note brings you some dates, friendly reminders and important information pertaining to the special day. Listed below are the requirements for dress that day, the practice and Mass schedule for the Sacrament.

First Communion Practice: (will be held at the Church)

May 6th 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.                   *Please be on time dropping off and picking up. Parents are welcome to stay.

First Communion: Saturday, May 9th 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Students need to be in the church hall for 9:30am

Children are required to be in the hall 9:30am. Please be on time and have the children report downstairs to the Church hall using the side door. Parents and other family members can go directly to the front and find your child’s banner and a pew to sit in.

Dress Code for First Communion:

BOYS: Dark slacks (navy blue or black), dark dress shoes, long sleeve white button down shirt, white tie. No jackets please! If you are in need of a white tie the parish office has them.

GIRLS: White dress, white ankle socks or white tights, white shoes.  You can wear anything you want in your hair or on your head.  Jewelry is fine.  No gloves or make-up please.
